INTRODUCTION/OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Director GDC, Information Technology role is responsible for managing staff, developing process and policy standards, and ensuring the stability and optimization of various technology components within the organization's enterprise technology portfolio. A critical success factor for this role is a proven ability to coordinate with the Global IT leaders in ensuring the processes and technologies leveraged in China are consistent with those used across the Company. The technology portfolio is organized across End User, Managed Hosting, Business Systems, and Security function, with leadership responsible for each of the respective categories. Among other category-specific skills and expertise, the IT Associate Director must be an accomplished leader, thoroughly skilled in a number of Core Competencies, to include development and presentation of information to C-level executives, vendor management, fostering innovation, optimizing staff and operations, and providing exemplary customer service, all in support of Company's technology vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure tight alignment of China IT processes and technologies with those of the Global IT organization
- Design, develop, and deploy global, enterprise-class systems that are scalable and cost effective
- Provide 24/7 support for assigned Information Technology platforms
- Ensure that all solutions are aligned with IT standards and best practices
- Understand and exploit current and evolving technologies and trends
- Develop and utilize Incident, Change and Problem Management processes/practices
- Develop KPIs for process and solution attributes, set performance goals, measure and increase performance
- Effectively manage staff utilization and prioritization based on evolving business and technology considerations
- Conduct product and vendor evaluations in order to select best of breed technologies and partners
- Manage complex projects with matrixed teams to deliver technology solutions on-time and under budget
- Manage, reward, and retain top talent in the IT field, ensuring Company's IT Team remains world-class
- Develop and manage metrics that contribute to continuous improvement with regard to the quality of delivered services
- Optimize staff utilization, ensuring they remain engaged and effective
- Deliver on strategic initiatives and provide traditional platform support
- Consistently deliver IT solutions that exceed customer expectations on-time/budget
- Development of support processes and structures sufficient to ensure system stability and client/user satisfaction
- Participate in the development of Company's technology vision and strategy
- Lead "Root Cause" efforts to identify and remediate technology and business process issues
- Contribute to the development and evolution of architectural standards
- Positive recognition as noted on Employee and Customer satisfaction surveys, completed on a periodic basis
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
- Internet savvy and proficient with a sales database (Salesforce.com) and office productivity tools (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners
- Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with an attention to detail
Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of the database marketing and agency marketplace
- At least 5 years sales experience in marketing services or related industries with a focus on database, data, analytics and consulting products and services
Other:
- Understanding of emerging methodologies, technologies, architectures, products, and philosophies
- Proven ability to understand client/stakeholder needs and transform them into world-class systems that meet/exceed their respective expectations
- Ability to assess and communicate project and technology budgets and delivery schedules
- Requires 6+ years of experience in implementing and supporting enterprise-class solutions operating in a 24/7 environment
- 3+ years in a managerial role
- Dynamic, hands-on technology experience with an emphasis on solution delivery and platform optimization
- Demonstrable ability to engage stakeholders in a positive, productive manner
- Ability to develop and retain world-class technology talent
- Simultaneously manage multiple, high-priority projects for high-growth, Fortune 100 companies
- Certifications within ITIL, PMP or CISSP are highly desired
- Proactive, upbeat and collaborative communication style, with the ability to be direct, tactful, and transparent
- Provide on-call and after-hours support as required
