POSITION:    China Managing Director

LOCATION:    Beijing

REPORT TO: APAC President

COMPANY:     A global media and marketing agency for technology companies

ROLE PURPOSE

The Managing Director of the China team will be responsible for the leadership of an energetic team and a business that is currently experiencing significant growth and expansion. This role will have overall responsible for the staff, P&L and business leadership.

RESPENSIBILITIES

Business Scope:

  • Manage China office P&L and operating cost to ensure profitability
  • Budgeting and Forecast for China office
  • Working with the China Client Services director to build and execute the China business plan
  • Work closely with Global on new business
  • Work on local new business opportunities
  • Work with company on business opportunities
  • Further establish Brand in China

Operation Scope:

  • Manage senior client relationships
  • Connecting china with wider global teams to ensure regular sharing of best practices and new tech with key clients
  • Plan and manage China office’s staff and office logistics as required
  • Identify operational gaps and growth
  • New client business contractual agreement negotiations
  • Build business network in China

Technology Scope:

  • Explore and Identify new global & local Ad techs to improve China tech stack opportunities
  • Negotiation of partnerships with Ad Tech companies
  • Master negotiation of company relationship with senior media partners
  • Work with on leveraging the group’s Ad Tech competencies.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree and above (Prefer – Marketing, Business Administration, Communications)
  • At least 10+ years of experience in China’s Media & Marketing Industry
  • Experience in B2B and Technology industry
  • Experience in building business network in China
  • Good relationship networks in China marketing industry
  • Understanding global and APAC media and marketing industry is a plus
  • At least 8+ years of team management and growth – with 5+ years of senior management experience
  • Experience in Business P&L, budgeting, forecast and anticipate risk to success
  • Proven experience in partnership cooperation and negotiation
  • Proven experience in leading the team on pitches and key presentations
  • Experience in building business plans and pitch proposals
  • Ability to motivate staff and strength team bonds
  • Ability to articulate Digital, Ad Tech and Data
  • Ability to articulate and educate clients, senior managements, and team members on Digital, Challenges, Solutions
  • Strong leadership quality by acting as example
  • Able to cope with fast-pace agency environment and short turnarounds
  • Professional in English
  |  10 years working experience in IT practice executive search industry, strong in business development, execution and team management. Focus on Software, Internet and IT Services sector.
